I'm old.

I want all the music shows I attend to be near by, uncrowded, and to start early and end before 1am. And none of this 'four opening bands' crap. Hey, I've paid my dues...I'm entitled.

I'm happy to say The Get Up Kids delivered last night. We arrived at 9:15, and the band took the stage moments later. The guys are looking a bit older and much less 'emo' these days. Gone are the slick haircuts, thick framed glasses and tight button up shirts...it was longer hair, size large T-shirts and growing beer guts. After some technical difficulties, they got down to business and played some great older songs. Although not as amazing as they were five years ago, you can't help but jump up and down as they tear into 'Red Letter Day'.

In other Get Up Kids news, they have released an EP exclusively on iTunes, which contains six acoustic tracks of songs from variuous albums. Pretty good stuff.

A few people have sent this to me...my guess is that it's an ad campaign for the blue car shown. It's still pretty interesting.

Yesterday three new Jeremy Enigk songs from the upcoming film 'The United States of Leland' were added to the official movie site. A fan has posted MP3s of the songs here. I'm not sure how long these will be available, so download now.

I've gushed about Jeremy Enigk countless times so I'll just say these songs are breathtaking (and not in that Seinfeld way) and leave it at that.

Moving. I don't believe in the idea of 'hell' but mine would include packing, moving, and unpacking all of my belongings over and over again...then trying to decide what to get rid of and what to keep. Add the stress of a confused dog, and a less than smart moving crew and I wasn't having too much fun Saturday.

Still, it's all over for the most part... all I need now is more closet space. And there's no chance of that.

This is great...Watch Rumsfeld try to deny a statement and get called on it. Sweet.

Every time I watch this clip of Third Base from The Kid America Adventure Hour I laugh out loud. Every damn time...every time.

"I ain't gonna blow it on weed like you retards...fuck that hippy shit, I'm tired of it, I'm tired of it all."

"I hate you all."

Genius. Pure Genius.

26 released from Guantanamo detention

"The released Britons have charged in newspaper interviews and through lawyers that they were beaten and mistreated during their two years in US military custody.

The Pentagon on Monday dismissed those allegations as "lies" and said they would not be investigated because they lacked credibility.
"These allegations are fabrications. These are lies," said Shavers.

"All the detainees were treated humanely and to the extent appropriate consistent with military necessity in accordance with the third Geneva Convention of 1949," he said.

"Because these are lies and fabrications, they are not credible. If they were credible allegations of illegal conduct, then we would investigate," he said.

Asked how the Pentagon could determine whether the allegations were lies without an investigation, the spokesman told AFP, "We do not do what they are alleging."

Sometimes I do question myself. Am I too hard on the government and the US justice system? But sometimes, I just can't believe the way things work. Those at the Pentogon don't even pretend to care about people's rights in this case...and this is after releasing 28 people after two years in prison with no charges being filed, or any information given. That just doesn't seem right in any way.

Holy crap, the Ducati has finally sold. And no returns. Amazing. Still, I'm going to miss that bike...so fun.

And speaking of bikes...took the new (pedal) bike out for a run in Golden Gate Park. It was great until I blew a rear tube about 200 yards from Ocean Beach and had to bus it back to my car in the Height. Great start...

Packing up your house isn't fun either...but the new loft move will be worth it.

"Hello."
"Yeah, hi...I sent you the email about the Ducati..."
"Yup, well I've still got it."
"Well, I'm a very serious buyer."
"Great...come by and take a look, first with the cash takes it."
"Yeah...well, I'm a serious buyer...but right this second I don't have all the money...but I am serious."
"Well, not that serious if you don't have the money."
"I'll have the money by Saturday...can I come over and give you $400 as a deposit?"
"No...the bike is $3900."
"But I'm good for it. I'm serious"
"Riiigghhtt...the thing is, I've been screwed more than a few times here. I've had a few people offer a deposit, then waffle, then disappear. You want the bike, bring the money, and it's yours. Simple."
"Well, someone might buy it in the meantime..."
"Yeah, that's how it works...people with money can buy things."
"What can I do to make you keep the bike for me?"
"Bring $3900 and hand it to me. Then I'll keep it as long as you like."
"I'll call you back"

Sleeves Clothing is just complete bullshit. You want sleeves? Step up and get the work done. I can't imagine that tattoo artist would allow their work to be seen on these "shirts". Weak. I'm not surprised that the guy behind this idea created the temporary tattoos for Vin Diesel in 'XXX'. Jack ass.

Objective 4 Kidz could be the funniest site I've seen all year. Mr.Gruff is great, and don't forget to view the Creative Science Fun Facts! Hours of fun.

This is equally as funny, but it seems to be serious,'PASSION' - Film score creator battled Satan during filming'. And while you're visiting Christian Cinema.com be sure and pick up a few films like Judgement starring Mr.T or the more Jesus driven 'Grind' like action sports comedy, Extreme Days. And may God have mercy on your soul.

'Barry' is an asshole.

Earlier today I sold my motorcycle. I endured 'Barry' talking to me for 45 minutes about past bikes, his Ferrari, and lord knows what else. Finally, with cash in hand, I waved as he rode away. 20 minutes later I was at the bicycle shop...using the cash to grab my mountain bike. As I'm loading the bike into the car I get a phone call.

'Barry' wants to return the bike. His back hurts and he feels the bike is too long for him. He's on his way back to my house. What am I suppose to do? FIght the guy? He signed the paperwork! Fuck.

I had spent part of the cash...and being late Sunday the cash machine in my neighborhood was empty. He actually suggested I return my bike to get his cash back. I wrote him a check for the cash I didn't have (less 50 bucks for my ga'damn trouble) and told him to get the hell out of my sight.

What fun. Wanna buy a motorcycle?

Martha is screwed
...she was found guilty on all four federal charges and is scheduled to be sentenced in New York federal court on June 17. Prison time for sure.

Yes, I'm back from Florida. And yes, I'm still tired.

l Tuesday - March 2 - 10:50pm EST l

What day is this? In Florida they all flow together. I had to travel off the Disney compound last night in order to find some decent food. I finally found an Indian place and almost wept for joy. There was another vegan traveler in there who told me this is his second trip as a trapped vegan.

In other news...Jesus has a stock car (and is taking his recruits during movie screenings...literally), Howard Stern is being pulled out of many markets, and the Oscars were boring as hell.

Snowboarding is dead. I've said it before...but with events, sites, and bands like this using boarding as promotion...it can't get much worse.
