 28 Days Later
is a great film. The more I think about it, the more like it. It's just
a very different, very original take on society and violence wrapped in
a fairly scary horror film. Recommened highly.

I hung out with some old friends and their twin 10 month old girls this
afternoon. Babies are something else. They certainly require a lot of
work, and many bags of accessories.

 Regardless of your views, this
is certainly an interesting piece on Ingrid Newkirk, the founder of
PETA. Well written and in-depth. (found on vegan.com)

'At 9:03 AM on 11 September 2001, the second airplane
hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center. President Bush was in Florida,
at the Emma T. Booker Elementary School, listening to children read. Chief
of Staff Andrew Card came over and whispered in Bush's ear, "A second
plane hit the second tower. America is under attack."

What did the Commander in Chief do? Nothing. He sat there. He sat for
well over 5 minutes, doing nothing while 3,000 people were dying and the
        attacks were still in progress.'

 This is an interesting
page, and piece of video. Worth checking out for sure...

I did a little site house cleaning today. I was
a bit sick of all the archives sitting on the main page, so I made a separate
archive page. Ialso added the 'HEAVY ROTATION' section...as I felt like
I needed to have more than one record or DVD listed at a time. Anyway,
        I feel much better.

I've been getting more and more migraines lately. Maybe it has to do with
the amount of time I spend looking at a monitor each day. Maybe I'll break
        out the glasses again...

third of the American public believes U.S. forces found weapons of mass
destruction in Iraq, according to a recent poll. And 22 percent said Iraq
actually used chemical or biological weapons in the war.'

So we found all those weapons right?(Well, no. We actually lied about
that) But not that many Iraq civilians were killed right? (Is
3,240 not too many?)But now our soldiers are being greeted by the
hugs of the people right? (Ummm...well
        no)
OK, well we did catch and bury that jerk Saddam after all this right?(
Maybe...well, ah, no...but we got this
guy) We did good right? Right?

It's taken me awhile, but I'm starting to really
get into The Mars Volta album.
I guess it was all the hype that was throwing me off. Rick Rubin producing,
the 'concept' album thing, everyone throwing praise before even hearing
it, the ex-At The Drive In buzz, touring with 'the Peppers'...and it manages
        to be good. Go figure.

Go to the Playlist and download 10.4 mgs of 'Roulette
Dares (This Is The Haunt)'...it's worth it.

Oh yeah, their July 2 show in SF is already sold out. In true "I'll
just wait a few days" fashion, I missed the friggin' boat. Jackass.

That was quite a weekend. Starting Thursday with
a large design installation, picking my Mom up at the airport Friday,
wedding shower Saturday, San Jose and Berkeley Sunday, and airport drop
        off Monday. Damn.

 In other news...the
Berkeley park is open again, and Darkest
Hour play next Monday in SF (I doubt I'll be there...damn work), and
that new Metallica song is terrible.

 Well, the new
media ownership rules (as voted for by the Republican controlled FCC)
completely suck. So much for trying to keep media fair and having a few
sides to a story or issue. Although, there seems to be some
concern...let's hope this gets rolled back.
