Back from the east coast...that is all.

Well, I was going to post my Top 10 Album list today, but I left most of the files on my work machine. Damn. I suppose it can wait until the 29th.

Tried to see Return of the King Saturday night...but the Metreon was completely shut down due to the massive power outage. The power went down at 6:20...and we had 7:30 tickets. I guess that will have to wait until after Christmas as well.

I fly out to Philly tomorrow at 12:30...and lucky me, the Department of Homeland Security just raised the national terror attack warning sytem to Code Orange. Fan'fucking'tastic. Happy Holidays...

l Friday - December 19 - 2:05pm l

Woah, what a week. Work during the day, DVD production at night, buying presents when I can.

Looking forward to 'Return of the King' on Saturday...all three and a half hours of it.

The band Bleeding Through were involved in a serious van accident Saturday morning. Amazingly, one was hurt. What's really crazy is the footage caught by a police car camera, which can be seen here. Note how the reporters never even mention the drivers of the van. Seems like their out come is a pretty odd thing NOT to mention.

I 've been in the office this morning since 6am, so that should explain the lack of updates. I'm just trying to get past this damn week so I can look forward to the holidays. Not fun.

So, yeah...Bush bagged Saddam. You know the story and have seen all the photos. Nice work partner. Seriously. I never thought it would happen. The down side..he has pretty much cemented his place in the White House next year. I hope someone can beat him...but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be posting my Top 10 list in a day or so. I'm sure everyone can't wait.

Somebody PLEASE get me one of these for Christmas. Perfect. (Pointed out by BK)

Bob Redshifter and Matt have posted their top ten albums of 2003. I'm working on my list.

Newsom defeats Gonzalez in mayor's race
Willie Brown's legacy lives on...lucky us. I thought San Francisco was a city that supported independent thinking and change that wouldn't reward big money campaigning. I guess I was 52.6% wrong.

Worster (?) Album Covers Ever II. Good stuff. Freddie Gage has my vote for 'title most likely to be stolen to use on a metal album'.

This guy needs to start customizing some Macs. Here are some extra angles of v7, my fav.

VOTE MATT GONZALEZ TOMORROW!!!

This weekend was all about Christmas shopping, the office holiday party, and lots of video production. The Portland DVD is coming along nicely. The music has been dropped in...and it's getting there.

Mel Bend creates a new Wrench Pilot comic for a Lakai ad. Pretty sweet. (Here's the Lakai holiday 03 Zine online...nice design work care of Ohio Girl).

This is a pretty funny article on various people threatening the guy who started Skatestoppers.
He certainly discovered a money maker...skaters tear his crap off, and he can just reinstall or create stronger product. These are especially pretty. Being a jerk probably pays really well.

I need a new board...

l Wednesday - December 3 - 2:26pm l

Busy, busy.

I suppose I should mention the show Monday night at Bottom of the Hill. I was really looking forward to Just A Fire, more specifically Fred Erskine, who sang and strummed bass for the legendary Hoover. Eh. They just didn't do it for me..I bought the CD and listened to it yesterday, but it still isn't sinking in. From Monument To Masses rock. I've written enough about them in the past...so I won't go on and on. I will say touring has sharpened their skill and they have found their live groove. Damn, Francis can play those skins.

SF Eye for the Mayoral Guy. Looks like SF Gate needs a new Flash designer...although the 'SF twins' were an inspired choice. And how about that debate last night? Go Matt.

World AIDS Day

I has a nice holiday weekend. Got some tattoo work done, went skating, watched some DVDs, saw two films, and was a bit too lazy.

Shattered Glass is a solid film. Yes, Hayden Christensen can actually act...that Star Wars thing seems to be a fluke. Worth a viewing. Very smart, well written and well acted.

The Last Samurai blew me away. I've been reading a great deal about Samurai culture as of late, and this film really impressed me on many, many levels. One of the year's best for sure. The battle scenes were epic, and the message was so positive and strong. I don't even know what else to add...go see it.
